ALIVE!!

Saturday (11/08) I was getting ready for a birthday dinner my family was giving my mom when I started having chest pains when breathing. I tried to ignore it but it got bad enough that I went to the ER.
My resting heart rate was upwards of 125 bpm - I had X-Rays and CAT scans to rule out blood clots taken. Apparently I had some 3 sacs in my lungs that filled with air and one of them burst leaking air out and the air was putting pressure on everything most importantly my heart. The doctors were afraid other sacs might burst.
I spent the last 4 days in ICU hooked up to IV, EKG, Oxygen, giving blood, taking blood thinners, etc and was finally released today :).
I was starting to go crazy being all hooked up, unable to move, not allowed to get up from bed and not able to sleep for more than an hour at a time.

X-rays from today show that a lot of the air is gone and my vitals are normal again. I'm supposed to keep an eye for any symptoms for now and check back in a week. Hopefully this should just resolve itself from here on out.

I have to take it easy for a week or so and the doc specifically told me no stressful activities so I'm probably not going to be playing poker for at least a few days.

I'm really happy to be out and more importantly to be OK. I'm still a little nervous especially about going to sleep but I should get used to it again.

I've also apparently contracted pink eye while at the hospital and they gave me some drops for that but I think I can deal with that :)

First Week

The first week of October is over, and I'm really pleased with everything about it.
The last few months I've worked very hard on my game and I really feel like it's paying off.
I started 9 tabling again, and now it just feels so easy. I'm able to take notes, get reads on pretty much everyone, and still pay close attention to all of my hands.

This is the most grinding I've done in a long time.

Time Played: 34.4 hours
Games Played: 351
Winnings: $4,341
Rakeback/Bonus: $1,400~
---
Total: $5,741

It really feels good to actually put in hours, and even better to get good results. I need to remember this next time I'm running bad.

My lease expires at the end of December and I'm going to be looking for a new place. I've already got some options I'm considering including going to live in a really balla house with some really cool guys I've met from poker in vegas.

We'll see. For now I'm really tired and going to pass out. Good nite.
